We run airline and business jet focused upset recovery courses helping to give pilots the skill to recognise and recover from unusual attitudes. From 20 December 2019 a new regulation came into force mandating commercial pilots to have attended and passed this course before starting their first type rating.
Our Advanced UPRT courses are in accordance with FCL.745.A, and all are certified by EASA.

With a long history in instruction and aerobatics our instructors can teach from basic UPRT through to advanced aerobatics.
UPRT stands for aeroplane ‘upset prevention and recovery training’ and is a mandatory requirement for all ATPL students.
Theoretical Ground Training: About 5-6 hours of ground school covering the principles of upset prevention and recovery, aerodynamics, human factors, and more. Flight Training: This involves 3 to 4 sorties (approximately 3 to 5 hours of flight time), focusing on various upset recovery scenarios and maneuvers.
Theoretical Ground Training: Similar to the basic course but with more in-depth coverage of aerodynamics, human factors, and recovery techniques. This might involve around 6-8 hours of ground school. Flight Training: The advanced course includes more complex scenarios and maneuvers, with typically 4 to 5 sorties (approximately 5 to 7 hours of flight time).
The Aerobatic Rating permits you to fly aerobatics. If you want to start competing or flying aerobatics as a hobby, this is the course you need to complete.

This course is the EASA Aerobatic Rating Course and is also our Basic (Club) Course. During the course you will gain a solid foundation of aerobatics, you will be able to fly the Club Known sequence to competition standard and also be able to at least get round the Sports Known.
